Taiwan’s First “Mitsui Garden Hotel” to Open in Downtown Taipei in 2020

Confident in the Taiwanese market, the Mitsui Fudosan Group—following the opening of Mitsui OUTLET Parks in Linkou and Taichung Port—will launch Taiwan’s first “Mitsui Garden Hotel” in Taipei, with an expected official opening in 2020.

Taiwan’s first “Mitsui Garden Hotel” is a result of a leasing partnership between the Mitsui Fudosan Group and Hongpu Construction. The hotel building is constructed by Hongpu Construction, while the Mitsui Fudosan Group will manage and operate it under a lease agreement.

The hotel is located next to Zhongxiao Xinsheng Station on the Taipei Metro. It is a 17-story above-ground and 5-story underground building, just a one-minute walk from the metro exit, offering highly convenient transportation access. The hotel is expected to have a total of 300 guest rooms and will be supported in its operations by Mitsui Fudosan Hotel Management, which manages Mitsui Garden Hotels. Its primary target clientele includes the continuously growing number of Japanese and Asian tourists and business travelers. Construction has already begun, with an expected official opening in 2020.
