Sleep your way through Germany: Berlin’s only “mobile bed”

When traveling to Berlin, Germany, you may have already visited castles, tried local beer, and gone cycling—so what’s the most unique way to explore the city? How about “lying down”? This slightly crazy idea has now become a reality!

According tothe miniloft.com website,this rickshaw was originally a prop used by an advertising company for a hotel promotion event. After being discarded as scrap, photographer Richard Eckes came up with the “Horizontal Berlin” project. Tourists must rent it for at least one hour at a time, with a maximum of two people, to enjoy Berlin in the most relaxing way—lying down on a bed. It is available from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m., and if your next destination isn’t too far away, it can even serve as a taxi to take you there.

Although the price is not cheap, it truly is a one-of-a-kind experience, because there’s no other such bed in all of Berlin!
