The perfect season to admire clouds and flowers—Hehuan Mountain Forest Recreation Area launches two eco-tourism guided sessions

Thanks to its unique terrain, elevation, and climate, Hehuan Mountain Forest Recreation Area boasts blooming alpine flowers in spring and summer, cloud-filled mountain vistas in autumn, and is a renowned snow-viewing destination in winter. In May, the Yushan azaleas will be in full bloom, complemented by the distinctive highland scenery of Taiwan fir and Yushan bamboo grass. The Dongshi Forest District Office has specially organized the “Colorful Flowers & Biodiversity” Hehuan Mountain Eco-Tourism Guided Activity, leading visitors on a hike along the Hehuan East Peak Trail while providing insights into the highland ecosystem.

This activity is divided into two sessions: May 2 (Saturday) and May 9 (Saturday), from 14:00 to 16:00.0Registration will take place at the Songxue Building counter on the day of the event, with a limit of 50 participants per session and registration on a first-come, first-served basis. Due to the high altitude and thin air on Hehuan Mountain, participants should assess their physical condition beforehand. Those with altitude sickness or cardiovascular diseases are advised not to sign up. Additionally, for safety reasons, the activity may be canceled in case of rain on the day.
