Tokyo’s “Godzilla Hotel” Officially Opens – Bloodshot Giant Eye Peers in Through the Window

In the streets of Shinjuku, Japan, a massive figure of “Godzilla” has recently appeared standing on the street, and it has even climbed onto the roof of a hotel, facing the crowds on the street. This seemingly terrifying scene of Godzilla’s arrival is actually the “Godzilla Hotel,” a collaboration between a Tokyo hotel and a film company. Guests can stay there and experience sleeping under the bloodshot gaze of Godzilla’s giant red eyes.

The “Godzilla Hotel,” planned jointly by Godzilla production company Toho and Hotel Gracery, officially opened on April 24. It realistically recreates scenes from the movie where Godzilla rampages through the city and designs guest rooms that allow interaction with the iconic creature. Aside from seeing Godzilla climbing on the roof from the outside, guests can also stay in rooms where Godzilla’s massive claw steps on the floor, and when looking out the window, they’ll find its glowing bloodshot eyes staring right at them inside the room.

This “Godzilla Hotel” incorporates numerous movie elements throughout its interior. Staying for one night isn’t cheap, with single-room rates starting at around NT$10,000. The hotel also offers a variety of Godzilla merchandise for sale, giving fans a chance to get up close and personal. Interested travelers might want to check it out.
