Pilgrimage to Taiwan’s Largest Water Dance Show: Lantan Scenic Area Music Fountain & Holiday Traffic Guide

Chiayi’s most romantic nighttime date spot is the Lantan Music Water Dance Show. In 2016, the Chiayi City Government built the country’s largest music fountain, combining lights and sound effects with 35 water jets to create up to eight different water dance performances—romantic and eye-catching. It officially reopened this June. With the four-day National Day holiday coming up, avoid the crowds by noting the following traffic information.

To ensure smooth traffic flow and the safety of fountain-viewing visitors, authorities have announced that drivers should park along both sides of Gen Park in the direction of traffic. Temporary parking is prohibited on the bidirectional road of the dam and around the T-junction in front of the fountain. Parking is not allowed at red-lined areas. The city police department will manage on-site traffic. Please follow the relevant regulations, and it is recommended that visitors take the Lantan Line City Bus No. 1 departing from the train station or ride an E-BIKE to get there.

Additionally, during the holiday period, the Lantan Scenic Area Music Fountain will feature one show daily at 6:30 PM, 7:30 PM, 8:30 PM, and 9:30 PM. For those who haven’t decided where to go, consider planning a short trip to Chiayi.
