Spring is in full bloom, and if you want to go flower viewing, there’s no need to venture far into the mountains or countryside. In New Taipei City’s Sanchong District, the Metropolitan Park boasts a vast field of blooming cosmos flowers that have entered their prime viewing period. After work on the weekend, hop on the MRT or bus to a suburban park for fresh air and a change of urban mood.

The cosmos flower sea will be in full bloom from mid to late April.
New Taipei City — Earlier this year, a large-scale flower sea was sown at the New Taipei Metropolitan Park, planting approximately one hectare of the “One Leaf Brings Prosperity” variety of cosmos flowers. The flower sea is expected to be in full bloom from mid to late April and will continue through May. Now is the best time to enjoy the blossoms, offering a new flower-viewing alternative besides the white clover.
