Malaysia’s Tanjong Jara Resort has been in operation since 1979. After more than thirty years of renovations, it still maintains a fresh and perfect level of service, has won numerous awards, and is highly praised by travelers and tourism industry experts.

The Tanjong Jara Resort is the sister property of another well-known resort, “The Datai Langkawi,” and shares a long history. It features traditional Malay architecture integrated with the natural environment, surrounded by palm trees and flowers that showcase Southeast Asian charm. Initially operated by the Malaysian Tourist Development Corporation, the resort was taken over by the YTL Group in 1999 and has since repositioned itself with a focus on refinement and international standards.

The resort is located near Dungun town between Kuala Terengganu and Kuantan, comprising 99 rooms. The building materials are all designed using a mix of Belian wood and teak, standing tall along the azure sea and accompanied by gentle breezes. It has received encouragement from the Aga Khan Award for Architecture.

In terms of dining, the Tanjong Jara Resort offers guests a diverse culinary experience, much like the comfort of its rooms. Five restaurants and bars serve a variety of international delicacies.
