Port City Promotes Tourism. The Kaohsiung City Tourism Bureau will prepare 10,000 “three-in-one” gift packs, including a “Mayday” limited-edition one-day pass, a dining and entertainment discount guide, and a Love River solar-powered boat ticket, for Hong Kong and Macau tourists flying directly to Kaohsiung before the end of June.

In recent years, Kaohsiung City has been vigorously promoting tourism. Before the end of June, it will prepare 10,000 gift packs to give to travelers flying directly to the port city from Hong Kong and Macau. (Photo provided by MCC Editing Department)

The “one-day pass” included in the 10,000 gift packs allows unlimited rides on the MRT, city buses, and ferries within one day, enabling tourists to get around Kaohsiung with ease. Furthermore, to encourage international visitors to stay longer in Kaohsiung, the transportation network allows easy connections to themed cultural bus lines such as those to Hamasen and the Old Town, or quick access to the Qimei-American National Highway express bus, making deep exploration of Kaohsiung possible — even places like Qishan or Meinong are just a short trip away.

China Airlines’ Hong Kong branch, in support of the “10,000 Hong Kong and Macau Visitors to Kaohsiung” campaign, has launched themed tour products for Hong Kong travelers, such as the “Black & White Heroes” film tourism experience and a cycling wellness tour. It will also arrange the “Hong Kong High School Youth First Hundred-Person Pioneer Group” for an exploratory journey in Kaohsiung. Additionally, EVA Air plans to roll out “Travel to Kaohsiung – Generous Gifts Await” and “A Pilgrimage to Buddha Memorial Center” packages during the Easter and Qingming holidays in Macau at the beginning of April, and again during the Buddha’s Birthday holiday at the end of April. TransAsia Airways is attracting Macau tourists with the slogan “Fly to Kaohsiung, Endless Fun.”
