Autumn Crab Craze: Get Red Crabs with Qualifying Purchases in Taipei’s Jilin Shopping District

The season that foodies love most — “The Season of Crabby Delights” — has officially begun. Taipei’s Jilin Shopping District is also riding the wave of autumn crab fever by launching the “Jilin Mountain & Sea Feast—The Ultimate Banquet” campaign. The event brings together over 20 diverse dining spots in the area, including traditional street food vendors, Taiwanese restaurants, budget-friendly stir-fry joints, and Japanese eateries. From October 8 to 28, over a three-week period, the campaign will offer three phases of combo meal deals: Mountain Delicacy Feast, Seafood Delicacy Feast, and Mountain & Sea Feast. Shoppers who spend over NT$100 can join a lucky draw, while those who spend NT$2,000 will receive one of the limited 300 weekly Red Crabs Crab-Tasting Coupons. Additionally, participants can join a fan page photo check-in event for a chance to win NT$10,000 worth of food vouchers.

The first week’s Mountain Delicacy Feast features ingredients such as chicken, duck, beef, pork, and lamb. Dishes originally priced at NT$900, like the Copper Pot with Beef Brisket and Pickled Mustard Greens, and NT$750, like the Ginger Duck Hotpot Set Meal, are both available for just NT$599. The second week’s Seafood Delicacy Feast highlights restaurants serving seafood dishes, offering a special set that includes a 17-tael Avoid-the-Wind Sand Male Crab for just NT$999, as well as a combo with dishes like Clam Hotpot, Spicy Salted Dragon Balls, Sichuan-style Shrimp Balls, and Honey Plum Pork Ribs. The final week’s Mountain & Sea Feast combines offerings from grilled meat, pepper shrimp, Shaoxing Chicken, Danzai Noodles, and teppanyaki restaurants, with discounted combo sets priced at NT$599 and NT$999.

During the event period, spend NT$100 or more at participating stores to enter a lucky draw for specialty food vouchers. Spend NT$2,000 to receive one of the limited 300 weekly crab-tasting coupons, which can be redeemed for a Red Crabs crab weighing about 8 taels. In addition, diners who visit participating shops, check in on the event’s official fan page “Jilin Foodie Shopping District,” and upload photos of dishes from the Mountain Delicacy, Seafood Delicacy, or Mountain & Sea Feasts will be entered to win one of three NT$10,000 Jilin Shopping District Food Vouchers.
