Kaohsiung’s popular tourist destination Qijin finally has its first hotel!"Qijin Avenue Hotel" had its lively opening yesterday (the 28th) morning and will captivate summer tourists with its stunning sea views, sunsets, and Qijin’s much-praised seafood cuisine, attracting more visitors looking to stay overnight on Qijin.

In the past, Qijin was filled with street vendors. The city government established the Qianhou Tourist Market as a fixed home for these vendors. Its fishbone-shaped steel structure and solar-powered green building won the 2010 "National Excellence in Construction Awards" Gold Award, making it one of Qijin’s landmarks. In addition to the ground floor serving as a tourist market, to revitalize the entire building, the city government also introduced business investors, giving rise to Qijin’s first hotel — Qijin Avenue Hotel.

Qijin Avenue Hotel is located on the third floor of the Qianhou Tourist Market, creating a strong maritime ambiance and vacation atmosphere. In addition to over 70 guest rooms, the hotel also houses the Qiwangjiao Restaurant, which offers creative seafood dishes. The rooftop has been transformed into an open-air Yang Bar, serving American-style snacks and specialty drinks, allowing guests to fully enjoy the colorful sunset clouds and fishing boat lights in the cool sea breeze, and experience the beauty of Qijin with a relaxed state of mind.
Chen Chu stated that the area around the Qianhou Tourist Market is the most beautiful part of Qijin. With the hotel’s opening, it provides excellent accommodation, leisure, and dining options, bringing more development to the beaches and coastline. She hopes Qijin Avenue Hotel will operate successfully and further boost Qijin’s tourism prosperity.
