The renowned Japanese affordable fashion brand “GU” has announced the establishment of a standalone flagship store in Taichung, set to open with a grand celebration at Taichung Dayeh Landmark Mall in the summer of 2015. The Japanese fast-fashion brand GU is showing its commitment to the Taiwanese market by actively expanding into Taichung’s fashion hub, allowing more consumers to enjoy the free-spirited fashion appeal of GU.

Since its debut in the Taiwanese market in September 2014, GU rapidly opened two stores within two months — one at Taipei ATT4FUN and another at Ming Yao Department Store. In 2015, GU will establish its first presence in central Taiwan at Taichung Dayeh Landmark Mall. Known for its chic and fashionable interior design, Taichung Dayeh Landmark Mall gathers a wide range of international luxury brands and is a hotspot for fashion trends. The GU Taichung Dayeh Landmark Mall store is the first standalone flagship in the city, continuing the brand DNA of “making fashion more accessible” by offering a full range of men’s, women’s, children’s apparel, and various accessories. In the summer of 2015, the store will also introduce the latest trend-driven outfits, becoming a new fashion destination for Taichung consumers.

Additionally, during the 2014 Christmas season, GU in Japan launched a popular “wall push” (壁ドン) experience — customers who purchased designated items could receive a surprise visit from handsome male models who would lean them against the wall for an intimate, heart-fluttering moment. Now fans in Taiwan also have the chance to experience this exciting “wall push”!From February 2nd to 8th during Valentine’s season, spend NT$2,000 or more (including pants items) at either GU ATT4FUN or Ming Yao Department Store to receive a lottery ticket.
