The Lalu Resort Taichung has seen declining performance and expanding losses due to continuously rising rents and the impact of the novel coronavirus. With no support from its parent company, it held a press conference on March 6 to announce its closure.
The Lalu Resort Taichung officially ceased operations on March 9 this year. Its official website announced that from March 7 to March 20, guests holding gift vouchers for stay packages or dining packages issued by Lalu Hotels & Resorts Co., Ltd. could bring the physical vouchers and original purchase receipts (invoices or credit card slips) to the lobby of either The Lalu Resort Taichung or Taipei Lalu Resort to process refunds. Mail-in refund applications were also accepted.
