Since its launch on February 14, 2020, the Bitan Water Dance Light Show has received widespread acclaim. On March 8, two brand-new programs were introduced, named “Firefly Meteor Shower” and “Swans Play in Water.” Each performance lasts 4.5 minutes and takes place every hour and half-hour between 6:00 PM and 8:30 PM.

The newly launched programs “Firefly Meteor Shower” and “Swans Play in Water” use delicate animation and projection techniques to bring the colorful installation art within the Bitan area and the scenic ecology of HeMei Mountain to life through stunning water screen projections. These shows highlight the unique tourism features of Bitan, offering a richer and more diverse combination of water dance and water screen effects.

The new programs are designed to reflect the tourism highlights of Bitan.
“Firefly Meteor Shower” combines healing music with the art of water. The moon slowly rises above the water screen, dazzling meteors streak across the sky, and flickering fireflies flutter through the dreamlike landscape of Bitan, inviting the audience to dance under the radiant moonlight, starlight, and glow of fireflies.

Meanwhile, “Swans Play in Water” delivers a joyful atmosphere through a cheerful and lively melody, with dynamic water dances. The Love God Cupid of Bitan flies freely, spreading love as spring blossoms. Swan boats gliding across the waters evoke warm memories. More distinctive medleys and exciting programs will be introduced in the future, delivering an unparalleled audiovisual extravaganza at Bitan.

Additionally, the Xihuan (West Bank) of Bitan Scenic Area features the “HeMei Mountain Nature Trail,” home to nearly 200 species of native butterfly plants. From the mountaintop, you can overlook Taipei 101. In April, fireflies fill the air. Exiting the trail leads to the “Bitan Suspension Bridge,” where you can admire the unique rock formations of Little Red Wall, take a swan boat ride on the lake, or rent a bicycle to cycle along the “Xindian River Bike Path.” Enjoy a healthy one- or two-day leisure trip to recharge your energy and boost your immunity.
