The Lantern Festival on the 15th day of the first lunar month and the 'Awakening of Insects' marking the start of spring plowing are approaching, and the mountain and Yoshino cherry blossoms in the Gold Ecological Park have already begun to bloom. Adorned with thousands of small red lanterns gently hung on branches, they welcome the arrival of the spring goddess; and after enjoying high-calorie Lantern Festival treats, if you want to healthily shed some weight, why not join the “Mine Healthy Lifestyle Cultural Walk” activity at the Gold Ecological Park with professional volunteers, combining cherry blossom viewing with outdoor exercise in one go！

 

The Gold Ecological Park stated that during this season, Jinguashi is sometimes shrouded in mist covering the entire mountain, and other times bathed in clear, sunny warmth. These 'ore-flavored' cherry blossoms, joyfully blooming in the mines during the New Year, present different charms under varying weather conditions—sometimes veiled in a gauzy mist, exuding a dreamy, ethereal beauty, and other times basking in sunlight, freely displaying their blossoms. No matter the style, they always attract visitors coming out for spring outings who compete to become photography masters, taking photos as keepsakes. This year’s most special feature is the suspension of thousands of palm-sized red lanterns among the cherry blossom branches during the Lantern Festival, making the pink and white flowers appear even more vibrant and breathtakingly beautiful.

Additionally, to help people who have been dormant during the cold winter months to easily and healthily shed weight after the holidays, during this warm season ideal for scenic appreciation, the Gold Ecological Park continues the “Mine Healthy Lifestyle Cultural Walk” activity, which has been fully booked since its launch in 2012. From March to June, every first Thursday (for group sessions) and last Saturday (for general sessions) of the month, the park offers the ‘Settlement Cultural & Historical Route’. Participants will be guided by Gold Ecological Park volunteers, exploring a 2–2.5 hour mountain trail to experience the unique characteristics and local landscapes of the mountain town of Jinguashi.

The museum also thoughtfully provides gloves with long grips and garbage bags, allowing visitors to enjoy the scenery while cleaning the mountain, contributing to the preservation of the environment and landscape, making it both healthy and meaningful. From July to November, the “Mine Healthy Lifestyle Cultural Walk - Mining Heritage Exploration Tour” will also be launched, unveiling the mysteries of Jinguashi, the hometown of gold, and stepping into lesser-known mining secrets.
