Starting in September, the One Card has been made available for use on the Taipei MRT and for renting YouBikes in the Taipei-Keelung area, becoming the first cross-region electronic ticketing card that combines functions such as small payments — making it very convenient. Currently, it can be used at the four major convenience store chains, the Kaohsiung MRT, Taiwan Railways, and on buses across Taiwan. Starting in October, it can also be used for small purchases at PX Mart. Additionally, in anticipation of the summer vacation and with the depreciation of the Japanese yen, the One Card has seized the opportunity to boost travel to Japan. Since May, the One Card has entered into an international partnership with Japan’s Tokyu Group. With the One Card, users can enjoy over 5% discounts or special gifts at more than 70 Tokyu Group affiliated stores and merchants. This even extends to ski resorts in Hokkaido and, for the first time, accommodations and one-day passes on the Izu Kyuko Line, all offering special discounts or benefits when presenting the One Card.
