From November 27–30, 2012, the Miller Super Ski Film Tour – “No Tomorrow” officially launches in Beijing, Shenyang, and Shanghai, China. Audiences in China can finally enjoy the stunning works of the world’s top ski film crews. This film tour is organized by Beijing Yingtao Sihua Culture Communication Co., Ltd., and generously sponsored by The North Face®’s official platform “Go Wild.”
The Miller Super Ski Film Tour is the most influential and well-established ski film event in the world, with a global presence. In 2012, it finally comes to China. For 63 years, Miller ski films have led the international ski filmmaking scene. Their passion for mountains, snow, and cinema drives them to consistently produce outstanding films, making the tour an annual tradition. Each year, the Miller Super Ski Film Tour tours 85 cities in the United States and major cities in Canada, with a global reach across the UK, Germany, New Zealand, Australia, and more, attracting over 500,000 loyal superfans.
This year’s tour will feature 12 of the most highly anticipated ski films from around the globe, bringing together the world’s top ski athletes. Among them are two-time world extreme skiing champion and snow daredevil Daron Rahlves; world championship winner, extreme skiing champion, World Cup winner, and ski master Darren Rahlves; and the “Snow Princess” – Olympic champion, alpine skiing World Cup winner, four-time world championship medalist, and one of the best female skiers, Julia Mancuso, among other ski icons.
The theme of the film tour is defined as “No Tomorrow,” symbolizing cherishing the present and daring to break through. It’s not about constantly pushing limits or exhausting courage, but rather a philosophy of treasuring the now and enjoying the moment. Every frame of the films celebrates the perfect winter—from snow-covered landscapes and the rugged peaks of Mount Washington in New Hampshire to the legendary powder snow of Monashee in British Columbia; from the Himalayas in India’s Gongma region to the high mountains of Chile’s Portillo, Alaska, Utah, Colorado, New Zealand, and Norway. It’s a cool, thrilling, awe-inspiring, and passionate all-night snow and ice carnival.
The Miller Super Ski Film Tour meets you every winter. “We cheer wildly to welcome the arrival of winter,” said film director and producer Max Bervy.
This marks a perfect start to the ski season. The Miller Super Ski Film Tour will deliver a high-quality national tour to Chinese audiences in Beijing, Shenyang, Shanghai... And next, the organizers at Yingtao Sihua will root themselves in China, bringing the world’s top ski films every year and offering Chinese audiences an absolutely breathtaking visual feast.
Additionally, the critically acclaimed ski film “All. In.”—sponsored by The North Face®—will also be screened during the same period.
Besides the three regular tour stops, you can also join the second “Ski & Pour” ski event, along with the Banff Mountain Film Festival and the Miller Super Ski Film Tour. This special event is jointly organized by Beidahu Ski Resort, Extreme Outdoor Club, and Beijing Yingtao Sihua.
