The "Red Bull Energy Challenges Changbai – First Northern China Skiing Competition," sponsored by Red Bull Vitamins Beverage Co., Ltd., will take place from January to March 2013 at three premier ski resorts nationwide. Hosted by Green Field Outdoor Network, the competition includes three regional divisions: North China, Northeast China, and Northwest China. The preliminary phase will select a total of 18 teams—covering both snowboarding and alpine skiing—to advance to the finals. Top domestic skiing enthusiasts will gather at Asia’s largest ski resort, Wanda Changbai Mountain International Resort, for the ultimate showdown.
As the first-ever regional team competition in northern China, this event features both snowboarding and alpine skiing categories in a pursuit-style points race. Breaking away from traditional single-player and regional limitations, the competition incorporates the increasingly popular pursuit race format, promising an exciting experience. The tournament kicks off in the Northeast division on January 2, followed by the North China division on January 12 and the Northwest division on January 26. The finals will be held in early March.
The "Red Bull Energy Challenges Changbai – First Northern China Skiing Competition" has received strong support from three leading domestic ski resorts: Wanda Changbai Mountain International Resort, Miyuan Yunding Ski Resort, and Xinjiang Silk Road International Ski Resort.
