Since 2013, the Xinying Arts Festival has adopted the concept of "Art Embodied, Starting from Xinying." In line with the Xinying Arts Park's objectives of establishing an "open urban park" and promoting "artistic living," the festival begins at the Xinying Cultural Center, breaking down spatial barriers to introduce quality art into everyday spaces. It aims to embody life through art and shape the cityscape of Xinying. The 2016 Xinying Arts Festival, themed "All-New, All-Art," features a variety of performances and activities, along with digital interactions such as QR codes, encouraging greater participation from both visitors and local residents.

Key events are introduced as follows:
2016 Xinying Arts Festival Opening Limited Free Ticket Event
Event Location: Exterior Wall of Xinying Cultural Center (Next to the Plaza)
Event Time: Starting 2:00 PM, October 22, until free tickets run out.
Event Rules: Once the event begins, participants can use their phones to scan the QR code stickers on the exterior wall of the cultural center to find discount codes. When you spot a free ticket/discount icon, carefully peel off the sticker. Between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM from October 22 to 28, bring the sticker to the Xinying Cultural Center information desk for staff verification and ticket redemption.
The 2016 Xinying Arts Festival “All-New, All-Art” brings a brand-new experience. The lively and exciting opening event will kick off with a circus and variety performance parade; in the crisp autumn air, stroll through a high-quality handmade market and encounter art unexpectedly along green pathways, enjoying surprises from street performers, hip-hop dancers, and interactive art.
Performing arts professionals bring fresh topics to the Xinying Cultural Center. Tang Congsheng, Zhu Degang, Zeng Guocheng, and Lang Zuyun take turns sharing their stage experiences, recounting the laughter and tears of performance work.
Bring your paper game map to the Xinying Art Park to find 19 hidden mice. Each mouse boasts unique colors and a joyful childhood vibe. Created by Nonoyao, the first-generation Chinese animation aesthetics artist, “Childhood Rhapsody” is a public art corridor that revives childhood memory scenes and brings art into real-life urban settings.
Each mouse carries a different number. Head to the Xinying Cultural Center information desk to get a challenge map and crack the code to win prizes. Collecting each mouse’s code adds new fun to your art journey.
