“Leaves Accompany My Journey”? The exciting preliminary stage of the 2013 Lafuma Mountaineering Season comes to a close

    Under the blazing sun, in the intense heat of July. Following the conclusion of registration for the “Leaves Accompany My Journey”? 2013 Lafuma Mountaineering Season, the preliminary selection work also surprisingly concluded on July 31. During the selection process, each group demonstrated its own distinctive charm—the bravery and strength of the Free Solo group, the beautiful love of the Romantic Couples group, and the enduring friendship of the Friendship Mix group. Outdoor enthusiasts who love high-altitude adventures used this community as a bond to deepen their mutual understanding and, radiating from themselves, spread the spirit of outdoor sports to friends around them.
    Nearly a thousand people enthusiastically signed up for the preliminary stage, including many mountaineering enthusiasts and fanatics from platforms such as Green Field Outdoor Network, 8264 Outdoor Information Network, Tianya Outdoor, Storm Outdoor, Shanhaijing Outdoor, Sunshine Hiking, and Free Hiking. After undergoing both public voting and judges’ scoring, the top 20 groups from each category—the Free Solo group, the Romantic Couples group, and the Friendship Mix group—totaling 60 groups and 120 individuals, successfully advanced. Among these participants, we witnessed countless high-altitude outdoor experiences and heard many moving stories. To our delight, many of the 60 winning groups in the preliminary stage were newcomers, signifying that both outdoor mountaineering and the Lafuma brand are gaining increasing recognition and acceptance.
    Each of the 60 winning groups will receive a generous award worth 3,000 RMB provided by Lafuma. For the Free Solo group, the prize includes a GTX waterproof jacket + a 200 RMB voucher per person + an Aomox Carry Oxygen Outdoor Survival Kit; for the Romantic Couples group, the prize includes a backpack + shoes + a 200 RMB voucher per person + an Aomox Carry Oxygen Outdoor Survival Kit; and for the Friendship Mix group, the prize includes a windbreaker + a 200 RMB voucher per person + an Aomox Carry Oxygen Outdoor Survival Kit.

    From August 1 to August 31, the competition will enter the advancement stage. The 60 winning groups from the preliminary round will share various experiences and feelings of “being accompanied by leaves” through photo showcases, beautiful image displays, and theme-based presentations for each group category. By presenting themselves through rich and colorful visuals and texts, they will enhance public and judges’ positive impressions while attracting more attention from all walks of society. From August 26 to August 31, the channels for public voting and judges’ scoring will reopen, and the first-place teams from the Free Solo, Romantic Couples, and Friendship Mix groups will be crowned the ultimate winners.

    The “Leaves Accompany My Journey”? 2013 Lafuma Mountaineering Season is now heating up. With so many outstanding participants, it is foreseeable that the competition will become even fiercer. Through this event, the Lafuma brand provides a platform and carrier for outdoor enthusiasts across the country who love outdoor sports and dream of mountaineering to realize their dreams and share their experiences. It also looks forward to the emergence of more Alpine-style climbers who dare to strive and persevere to the end, as well as more positive, united, collaborative, and win-win team combinations.
    The event will continue until late September. The final champions from the three major categories, totaling six lucky individuals, will embark together on an enticing peak adventure, challenging the heights of outdoor climbing dreams on France’s Mont Blanc, embracing the ultimate baptism for the brave at the summit of extremes.
