With luxury bikes gathering in one place, the "Special Exhibition" at the Asia Bike Show is a dedicated showcase for the most luxurious, unique, and innovative high-end bicycles on the market. The upcoming Asia Bike Show, opening in Nanjing on October 10th, will feature around 50 premium sports bikes in the Special Exhibition area, with a total value exceeding RMB 5 million.

The concept of the "Special Exhibition" originates from the Eurobike Show. The bikes exhibited here demonstrate outstanding performance, exquisite craftsmanship, stunning designs, and cutting-edge technology, fully embodying the pinnacle of the global cycling world. In 2012, a professionally customized Pearson bike worth RMB 280,000 attracted strong interest from both the media and visitors. What kind of crazy great bikes will the 2013 Special Exhibition unveil to capture attention? Let’s take an early look.

The E-Bike trend sweeps in from Europe

E-Bikes are electric-assist bicycles. Over the past two years, they have become popular in Europe. Among the exhibitor brands at the Asia Bike Show, top international brands such as HAIBIKE, Cube, Ghost, and Corratec all offer E-Bike models, which may also be displayed in the Special Exhibition area.

The name "electric-assist mountain bike" may sound a bit long, but only this can capture the uniqueness of this series. The E-BIKE sport mountain bike launched by HAIBIKE uses a high-quality German BOSCH motor and battery. At the same time, the Reverse-Angle-concepts jointly developed with German BOSCH is also a HAIBIKE patent. Compared to regular E-Bikes, this design allows the motor to be fixed above the down tube, thus solving the issue of the motor being bumped on rugged mountain terrain.

The big wheels of beach bikes have a unique charm

Another noteworthy model in the Special Exhibition area is the beach bike. Several brands are likely to showcase this type of bike, such as FUJI, Specialized, and SCOTT. Beach bikes are lightweight models mainly designed for riding on sandy surfaces like beaches or deserts. They generally feature large, chunky tires and have a unique, eye-catching style—sure to be a beautiful highlight of the exhibition.

Immerse yourself in the experience of a Tour de France bike

PINARELLO’s Tour de France race bike – Team Sky was established in 2009. In less than three years, Bradley Wiggins achieved his dream of winning the Tour de France in a dominant fashion. After seven stages, no one could shake his lead—that was the 2012 Tour de France. This year, Wiggins withdrew due to injury. When everyone thought this year’s Tour would be a free-for-all, another team member, Froome, riding a PINARELLO, repeated last year’s feat. He donned the yellow jersey from Stage 8 and never took it off until he claimed the title.

Cannondale’s Tour de France race bike – The Italian Cannondale (Natural Gas) team, established in 1999, is another squad using bikes from a major American manufacturer. Cannondale’s strong technical capabilities are beyond doubt, and the brand excels in both road and mountain biking. In 2013, they once again competed in the Tour de France using Cannondale bikes.

Additionally, the Special Exhibition area will feature an interesting element – the CHIRU children’s bike. This bike is entirely emerald green, with thick tires that give off a kids’ mountain bike vibe. Young visitors to the Asia Bike Show are in for a treat.
