On a September day, the junior editor got the opportunity to review the Adidas TERREX FAST R GTX shoes. Excited but diligent, they checked the calendar carefully and picked an auspicious day for the experience and photo shoot. The weather was fair and sunny that day, and of course, the shoes were quite eye-catching.
Ad time—let’s first take a look at the product introduction of these shoes

These are highly sporty, lightweight hiking shoes that allow you to move freely through mountainous terrain. The Continental rubber outsole paired with FORMOTION offers better grip and cushioning. A metal insert in the forefoot area along with adiPRENE+ provides comprehensive protection and natural propulsion.
Upper: Mesh/synthetic materials. The triangular tongue piece prevents sand and gravel from entering through gaps. The one-piece lacing system is convenient and quick, while also preventing the shoelaces from loosening during movement.

Midsole: adiPRENE+: Covers the entire forefoot area to maintain natural forward propulsion and enhance athletic performance.
FORMOTION™: The outdoor-specific FORMOTION™ helps reduce ankle joint load, avoiding ankle sprains; it also improves foot control and cushioning on rugged terrain, especially noticeable when hiking downhill.
Protection Plate: A forefoot protective insert guards against rock punctures in mountainous conditions, offering extra protection for the wearer.
Torsion®: A cage-like midfoot support system that prevents excessive twisting between the forefoot and heel to avoid sports injuries.
Insole: Ortholite® functional insole, a film-pressed fabric insole designed ergonomically for comfort, breathability, odor resistance, and antimicrobial properties to keep your feet healthy.

Outsole: Traxion/MS® provides optimal ground traction to prevent slipping. The outsole design is suitable for mountain sports.

    Hardness: 60A
Rubber: The forefoot uses Continental® rubber for superior grip.
    Weight: 375g
The most standout feature of these shoes is their lightness. The shoe is primarily made of mesh fabric, making it exceptionally light, snug, and very comfortable to walk in.

Even more impressively, the shoes also use GTX fabric, giving them waterproof capabilities, making them ideal for low-altitude mountaineering. I conducted a waterproof test, shown in the following images.

You can clearly see that when water touches the shoe upper, it quickly beads up—the waterproof effect is obvious.

The shoes use a one-piece lacing system, which is very convenient and stays secure. This is especially suitable for long hikes. Those familiar with outdoor activities know that shoelaces often come loose during long walks, and a simple trip could cause a fall. This lacing system solves that issue effectively.
The outsole design effectively increases the shoe’s grip.

The whole pair of shoes also looks particularly sleek—not only practical but also stylish.

Let’s take another look at other details of the shoes.

Overall, the shoes combine lightness, waterproofing, and aesthetics, with comfort being their strongest suit—they’re a great choice for outdoor trips. The junior editor highly recommends them for those planning outdoor adventures during the National Day holiday.
