Recently, in a global poll for the “world’s most extreme toilet” conducted by Russia's Interfax News Agency, a toilet perched on a 2,600-meter cliff in Siberia’s Altai Mountains claimed the top spot. According to the UK’s Daily Mail on November 26, this precarious toilet has attracted many brave souls—or those seeking an emotional rush—to explore its thrilling setting.

Built in 1939, this perilous cliffside toilet was named “Black Heart.” In fact, this ultimate toilet is actually a remote weather station that provides meteorological data. Each month, a mail carrier visits the station to collect weather information from the staff, and every autumn, a helicopter delivers food, water, and firewood for the stove. The staff working here truly demonstrate extraordinary courage, carefully tiptoeing around such a nerve-wracking toilet.

In this poll, other toilets that made the list of ultimate marvels alongside the cliffside one each have their own unique features. Among them, Hong Kong’s most expensive toilet is made from 3 tons of gold. Meanwhile, the world’s scariest toilet is located atop a 15-story open elevator in Mexico, featuring a single pane of glass to prevent users from falling.
