Keep an eye on the weather — sudden changes ahead as a strong continental cold front approaches!

Today (12th), scattered brief showers are expected in eastern and mountainous areas of western Taiwan, as well as in Kinmen and Matsu, while other regions and Penghu will be mostly cloudy to sunny. Tomorrow (13th), as a frontal system approaches and southwestern winds strengthen, brief showers or thunderstorms are likely in western and northeastern areas, as well as Kinmen, Matsu, and Penghu, with a chance of localized heavy rain. Other areas may also see some localized brief showers.

On the 14th, as the frontal system moves past northern offshore areas, brief showers or thunderstorms are possible in western and northeastern regions, with a chance of localized heavy rain. Other areas may also experience some localized brief showers.

On the 16th, another frontal system will pass along with the southward push of a strong continental cold front, bringing noticeably colder weather to northern and northeastern Taiwan. Brief showers are expected in areas north of central Taiwan and in the northeast, as well as localized brief showers in eastern, southeastern, and southern mountainous regions. Other areas will be mostly cloudy.

Affected by a strong continental cold front on the 17th and 18th, the weather will turn cold nationwide. Localized brief showers are possible in northern, eastern, and mountainous areas of central and southern Taiwan, while other regions will be mostly cloudy. The public is advised to dress warmly when going out.
