Excellence Achieved Through Professionalism

Black Diamond, synonymous with professionalism and cutting-edge technology. But BD is not out of reach. Simple, efficient, durable, and high-performing—these are the core principles and standards of BD gear. It’s right here with us, using professional technology to elevate the sports experience and help people achieve extraordinary lives.
Recently, Black Diamond supported the TNF100 Beijing International Trail Running Challenge, providing ultra-light folding trekking poles and high-performance headlamps to empower trail runners. This is a tribute to the determined athletes who embrace challenges, helping them focus on their journey ahead with greater safety and peace of mind.
The Spot headlamp, the lighting equipment sponsored by BD for The North Face 100? Beijing International Trail Running Challenge, is one of the most representative products in BD’s lighting range. It combines multiple functions and is the ultimate all-in-one headlamp. The Ultra Distance BD Z-pole, the lightest in the series, features an ultra-lightweight and compact structure with solid support, designed specifically for hikers, runners, and endurance athletes.

1, Spot
A powerful and fully featured all-purpose headlamp with a maximum output of 90 lumens and a maximum illumination distance of 70 meters. Includes progressive dimming, strobe warning, red night vision mode, and lock mode. Features a three-level battery indicator. IPX 4 water resistance. Weighs 90 grams including batteries. Available in multiple colors.

2, Ultra Distance
The rugged and complex terrain of trail running makes a reliable pole essential for balance and ease over long distances.
The Z-pole, with its ultra-light, foldable yet sturdy design, marks a new era in trekking poles, becoming the ultimate choice for fast-paced hiking, trail running, and fast hikes with minimal gear.
Weighing just 140 grams per pole and collapsing to a length of 33.5 cm, the carbon-made Ultra Distance Z-pole is the best companion for lightweight trail running where weight matters most.
The three-section collapsible shaft of the Z-pole uses a quick-lock sleeve system for fast assembly. Simply hold the handle with one hand and the lower shaft with the other, pull in opposite directions, and the shaft will automatically lock into place.

Last weekend, at the #TNF100 Night Run Training Camp# held in Beijing Olympic Forest Park, over 80 participants preparing for the TNF100 International Trail Running Challenge joined BD Brand Director Kang Hua from Shenzhen Himalaya and The North Face-sponsored athlete Xing Ruling. Together, they shared tips on using headlamps during trail runs and night running experiences from the UTMB race. Three lucky runners were randomly selected to win a BD Spot headlamp each.
