In addition to the presence of these masters, there are plenty of unmissable activities for visitors during the “Flower Appreciation & Film Festival” at OCT East. On May 10, classic blockbuster films from The Lord of the Rings trilogy will be screened in the International Ballroom. From May 10–14, visit the Tea Valley to explore the Creative Market—a film-themed flea market selling movie merchandise and cultural products—where you can truly immerse yourself in the charm of film culture at the resort. From May 10–12 and 15–19, every evening from 7 to 10 PM, under the starlight and with your favorite snacks in hand, find a great camping spot at the Cuckoo Clock Stage Square in Tea Valley. There, outstanding shortlisted entries from the 5th Golden Penguin Awards and exciting short films from sixteen countries will be screened in rotation. You may even get the chance to meet the creators and fans at special meet-and-greet sessions.
The Shenzhen OCT East “Flower Appreciation & Film Festival” will run throughout May. During the day, enjoy flower viewing, garden strolls, creative markets, and performances of the newly updated show “Tian Chan.” At night, join the Pavilion Short Film Camp Party, stay in themed hotels, and engage in various interactive experiences. Admire flower seas and pathways, catch the premiere of OCT East microfilms, and experience a holiday journey where Pavilion film culture blends with flower appreciation. This cultural extravaganza offers a stylish, diverse, and fun experience for all visitors. (Yan Biwen)
