The 2nd "Colorful Yunnan" Mengla County "Wangtianshu Cup" Fishing Competition is open to all domestic and international fishing enthusiasts who are in good health and possess basic fishing skills. The 1st "Wangtianshu Cup" Fishing Competition – Champion Wins 6,000 Yuan Prize
On September 22, 2012, the 1st Mengla County "Wangtianshu Cup" Fishing Competition was held at the Wangtianshu Scenic Area of Xishuangbanna Tropical Rainforest National Park (Mengla County Dasha Dam Reservoir). The event attracted attention from local fishing enthusiasts and drew 100 skilled anglers along with many onlookers.
After six and a half hours of competition in the morning and afternoon, the 20 awards for Single Largest Fish Weight and Overall Weight were claimed. Mr. Li Baohua from the Western Division defended his titles in both categories with outstanding performance, taking home the 6,000 yuan grand prize and earning the title “Rainforest Fishing King.”
