Combining the freedom and fluid grace of surfing with the cool tricks and thrilling intensity of skateboarding, snowboarding is a winter sport that has taken the world by storm.
This time, the X-Treme Video Extreme Sports Film Tour will present the snowboarding documentary "White Silk Road (WHITE SILK ROAD)." Australian riders Clint Allan, Mitch Allan, and Nick Gregory ventured into Afghanistan, where military checkpoints, armed guards, and rusting Soviet tanks lining the roads could not detract from the grandeur and snow-draped beauty of the Hindu Kush mountains. The breathtaking scenery of Bamiyan and the warm hospitality of the people in Kabul deeply captivated the three young adventurers in this remote and dangerous land.
Free Red Bull, beer, and freshly baked site pizza, plus great prizes from XSories await you. At 19:30 on September 11, at the south end of the sunken atrium in Sanlitun SOHO, XSories invites you to explore mysterious Afghanistan and discover one of the most pristine and genuine snowboarding paradises in one of the world’s most perilous regions.
