With the Lantern Festival approaching, various lantern displays are being held all over Taiwan, creating breathtaking starry seas of lights. This year's 2020 Taiwan Lantern Festival in Taichung not only features the Wenhua Forest Park sub-section that was open for preview before the holiday, but also the horse ranch venue in Houli, Taichung, which recently began night-time test lighting.

This year’s lantern festival is themed “Animal Carnival.”
Themed “Animal Carnival,” the lantern displays at the horse ranch venue feature a variety of animal-shaped lanterns including dinosaurs, crabs, and dolphins, transforming the event into a magical nighttime zoo.

The lantern festival includes 12 major themes with a total of 133 three-dimensional animal lantern installations.
The lantern zones are divided into 12 major themes, such as “Brave the Jurassic,” “Underwater World,” “Passionate Desert,” “A Glimpse of the Iceberg,” and “Jungle EDM Party,” featuring 133 three-dimensional animal lantern sets. These include moving prehistoric dinosaurs, lion kings and beasts wearing ornate masks, polar animals highlighting environmental issues, the extremely popular fox spirit transformed into a sexy belly dancer, and jaguars at the jungle EDM party.
