Snatch Discounts at the Travel Expo – Hotel Meal Vouchers Start at 42% Off

The 2015 Taipei International Tourism Expo takes place from May 22 to May 25. In addition to various travel products, many visitors are focusing on discounted meal vouchers offered by hotels, with the lowest discount on-site being 42%. However, this year’s expo sees the Grand Hyatt Taipei absent, while although the Grand Hyatt is participating, it is not selling Kai Fai House meal vouchers due to its upcoming renovation in June.

Whenever the Grand Hyatt participates in the travel expo, its Kai Fai House always attracts large crowds eager to snap up vouchers. But since Kai Fai House is set to renovate in June, those hoping to buy its meal vouchers at this expo may be disappointed. Although Kai Fai House vouchers aren’t available, other dining promotions at the Grand Hyatt are still attractive, such as:The Irodori Japanese Restaurant lunch and dinner buffet 4-person voucher, originally priced at NT$5,280, is now NT$3,960 (25% off). The lowest discount is for the elegant Chinese restaurant Guang-style Golden Roast Whole Goose 4-person voucher, originally NT$5,900, now NT$3,999 (18% off).

The Okura Prestige Taipei offers meal voucher packages that include access to its three flagship restaurants. Each set contains four Continental Room European Buffet vouchers at NT$2,760 each, and four afternoon tea vouchers equivalent to NT$690 each, which can be used individually at around an 19% discount. For groups of four, the price is even more attractive, dropping to NT$2,560. The steepest discount is forthe Yamazato Japanese Restaurant 4-person lunch/dinner voucher, originally NT$8,800, now NT$7,000 after a 20% discount.

The Evergreen Laurel Hotel in Jiaoxi is offering a Double Lunch at the Laurels Buffet at the expo, originally NT$1,716, now NT$1,288. Buying 10 vouchers also comes with one free.

The Taipei Fullon Hotel is offering four different meal voucher combinations. First is the Rainbow Lounge all-you-can-eat meal voucher for NT$1,399, which includes three breakfasts, lunches (add NT$400), afternoon tea, and two dinners, at a minimum discount of 29%. There’s alsothe Diverse Gourmet Meal Voucher with a choice of 4 gourmet restaurants for NT$1,588 (starting from 40% off), the Diverse Gourmet Meal Voucher with a choice of 5 gourmet restaurants for NT$1,988 (around 42% off), and the NT$8,888 10-person set menu voucher (starting from 37% off).

The Beitou Kagaya offers two meal voucher sets. The Leisure Moment Voucher allows you to enjoy one afternoon tea at either the Tianxiang Hall or Hiyori Hall, with a set of 10 vouchers priced at NT$4,800 (originally NT$5,800), saving NT$1,000. The Tianxiang Feast Voucher gives you one lunch at Tianxiang Hall, and two vouchers can be used for one evening kaiseki meal from the Million Stone series at Tianxiang Hall, with a set of 8 vouchers priced at NT$9,600.
