Introduction:7Month29to31,Chen Zuyuan, founder of the EZON brand,participated inthe "Yes Sports Club""Chasing Dreams Together – City-to-City Relay Run" from Beijing to Zhangjiakou Chongli,to support the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics.
On July 31, when International Olympic Committee President Bach announced on stage that Beijing had won the bid to host the 2022 Winter Olympics, my yesrunningteam and I had just completed our run in the Beijing-Zhangjiakou city-to-city relay event in support of the Olympic bid.
Perhaps it was a coincidence — EZON was founded in 2008, the very year Beijing first hosted the Olympic Games. It seems that since then, Chinese people have begun to place increasing importance on sports and recognize their significance in daily life. The year 2008 was not only a turning point for the rise of the national sports spirit but also the starting line of EZON’s long journey in developing smart sports watches.
Therefore, this relay run in support of the 2022 Winter Olympics from Beijing to Zhangjiakou holds special meaning for EZON. As the founder of EZON and a participant in this event, my feelings are even more profound — there are many emotions, and I am also very happy.
This was an event that allowed close interaction with celebrities. It was truly exciting to run alongside former badminton world champion Ye Zhaoying, famous singers Sha Baoliang and Sun Nan, Chinese figure skating champion Zhang Dan, and renowned CCTV host Zhang Bin, all for the sake of cheering on China. I ran with particular dedication and even felt the distance was too short to fully satisfy me.
The organizers planned for participants to complete the 5-kilometer run within 40 minutes. The route started inside the 6th Ring Road and continued outside it. The first 3 kilometers were at a faster pace of around 6 minutes per kilometer. Aside from the hot weather, we also faced challenges such as complex nighttime road conditions. Completing the run successfully was quite difficult, but every runner in the YES running team was highly enthusiastic. As we passed the baton, their strong support for and desire to host the Winter Olympics were deeply moving, and I was thoroughly inspired by the atmosphere, feeling full of energy.
I wore two watches in total — one was the G3, developed by EZON specifically for trail running.As a key assistant in this event, the new EZON smart running watch G3 wholeheartedly supported all runners in completing their routes. Some people on Weibo noticed I was wearing two watches in the photos and eagerly asked if it was our new model, which deeply moved me. Every move EZON makes is closely followed and continuously tracked — that’s the pride of a brand.
The reason I wore the new model was twofold: first, to personally experience the product, and second, to express through myself EZON’s innate understanding of smart technology. With the rational wisdom of engineers, the ultimate thinking of designers, and the passionate emotion of athletes, we continuously explore the perfect integration of intelligence and sports, achieving self-transcendence.
I think I’ve done it. I’m excited. I’m proud of my team for developing these products, which I consider to be perfectly made, with this spirit. I’m also honored to stand here wearing these products, conveying their spirit to those who love sports, and even more so to have the opportunity to cheer for China’s Olympic bid.
I received the baton from Chinese figure skating champion Zhang Dan, becoming the sixth relay runner, and continued to chase the dream forward before passing the running baton to renowned CCTV sports channel host Zhang Bin, thus fulfilling the mission of the runners and jointly conveying the collaborative spirit of Chinese sports. After running the 5 kilometers, I didn’t feel tired at all. The heart rate monitoring by the G3 kept my heart rate within the set range, and I even felt I could have run another 10 kilometers. In the final leg of the relay, I accompanied Sha Baoliang for the last 100-meter sprint. When we crossed the finish line, I was incredibly excited. It was a meaningful and joyful thing, and EZON was also personally involved in supporting the Olympic bid.
Although it has been two days since the successful Olympic bid, my heart is still filled with excitement. Participating in this event made me deeply realize that every step is both a beginning and an end. For China, from bidding to hosting, every step is a mark in history. For EZON, from participation to completion, every step is growth for the brand. And for me personally, every step I ran to support the Olympic bid was filled with the satisfaction of self-improvement, along with the joy of teamwork. This is the spirit that sports bring to a nation, and the boundless opportunities that a strong nation brings to those who love sports. EZON should be no different. Since the creation of EZON, all our products have revolved around how to better serve sports. We aim to provide sports enthusiasts with more powerful and distinctive smart sports watches and intelligent sports management solutions. I can proudly say that EZON has achieved this — of course, there is still room for improvement, and we can do even better in the future. Bidding for the Olympics is about seizing opportunities; winning the bid is just the start; successfully hosting the event is the complete showcase of strength.
