LOWA and Gore-Tex “Shine a Light” on Tibet’s “Sky-High Village”!

At the end of August, LOWA will partner with Gore-Tex to set off for Tibet and launch the “Shining a Light on the Sky-High Village” charitable expedition in Tibet. During this journey, LOWA and Gore-Tex will not only offer robust product support for outdoor activities but also carry forward the outdoor ethos of unity, exploration, experience, and kindness. With deep reverence, they will travel to Tibet to bring some warmth to the Tibetan people of Tuicun.

Tibet in August and September is breathtakingly beautiful and an ideal time for outdoor enthusiasts to explore. For many, Tibet is a distant and mysterious place. On this trip, you can join LOWA in trekking around sacred lakes, immersing yourself in stunning landscapes, and praying for good fortune and safety. You can also visit the cloud-enveloped village of Tuicun, live alongside Tibetan locals, experience Tibetan culture, uphold the outdoor spirit, and become a friend to the villagers rather than just another passing tourist.

The magnificent beauty of Tibet and the warm-hearted Tuicun villagers are sure to offer everyone the warmest hospitality. LOWA has learned in advance that Tuicun, as the highest administrative village in elevation, sits high in the clouds like a fairytale—but the lives of its villagers are particularly tough. Their income mainly relies on traditional farming and animal husbandry, with very limited access to electricity and education. LOWA and Gore-Tex are calling on outdoor enthusiasts to donate heartfelt gifts in the hope of improving the harsh living conditions of the Tibetan villagers. They will also specially organize a photo-based charity event to capture joyful moments for the villagers...
