In the scorching summer, comfortable and breathable T-shirts almost make countless people swoon. But how is the quality of a high-quality T-shirt ensured? Should you feel reassured?

As a traveler, I had the chance to visit the Pathfinder factory to find out...

Quality Control of Raw Materials

The inspection of the appearance and physical-chemical properties of fabrics and accessories is a vital step. Issues such as fabric shrinkage, pilling, color fading, color inconsistency, safety of dyes used, and hand feel are all things that us regular consumers care most about.

The quality inspector explained that before production, fabrics and accessories are sent to national authoritative testing institutions for testing. All the aforementioned items are included in the tests, and each test simulates the daily wearing environment and habits of people, making it more scientific and intuitive.

Cutting Piece Numbering

All cut pieces are 100% inspected and numbered to ensure that all pieces of a single garment come from the same batch of fabric, effectively avoiding color differences.

Quality Control During Production

Semi-finished product inspectors are stationed on the production line to ensure that substandard semi-finished products do not proceed to the next stage.

Patrol inspectors are stationed in the workshop, inspecting every three hours to prevent any oversight by the semi-finished product inspectors.

Finished product inspectors conduct 100% inspections on each garment, including thread trimming, size measurement, dirt, color differences, craftsmanship, flaws, etc. Only qualified finished garments can proceed to subsequent ironing, packaging, and boxing.

Quality Assurance

Before leaving the factory, quality inspectors carry out garment inspections according to the T-shirt’s product appearance standards. Samples are taken from the bulk production and sent to national testing institutions for further verification of product quality. Products are only shipped after passing these checks.

So, it turns out that the birth of a high-quality T-shirt goes through so many inspection steps.
