On December 17, the Qiqihar “Internet+ Tourism” Marketing Sharing Session and the Launch Ceremony of the Qiqihar Ice & Snow Tourism Photography Competition were grandly held today. Jointly organized by the Qiqihar Municipal People’s Government, and co-hosted by the Qiqihar Municipal Bureau of Tourism, Zhalong Nature Reserve Administration, Qiqihar Federation of Literary and Art Circles, Qiqihar Radio and Television Station, Qiqihar Daily Press Group, CYTS Linkage, and others. This sharing session represents an active exploration by Qiqihar in response to the new models of tourism development under the wave of the internet economy. It aims to accelerate the development of Qiqihar’s tourism industry through the innovative concept of “Internet+ Tourism,” with the goal of achieving a magnificent transformation for Qiqihar’s tourism in the internet era.

Qu Xiuli, Vice Mayor of Qiqihar, attended the sharing session and delivered a speech. She pointed out that tourism is a comprehensive industry in the national economy and a vital driving force for economic growth, while the internet is bringing about a new transformation for global tourism development. For Qiqihar, it is urgent to deeply integrate the tourism industry with the internet by leveraging the new model of “Internet+ Tourism” to inject fresh vitality into the city’s tourism development.

Qiqihar is a charming and outstanding tourist city renowned nationwide for its ice and snow tourism. As an ancient provincial capital with a history of several hundred years, Qiqihar boasts abundant tourism resources, a long cultural history, splendid natural scenery, elegant ancient architecture, unique ethnic customs, and precious historical relics. The city’s tourism trump card — the world-famous Zhalong Wetland, China’s largest national-level nature reserve for rare waterfowl and the homeland of red-crowned cranes — has earned Qiqihar the title “Crane City.” It is also famed for its unique snow-viewing of cranes, making it a one-of-a-kind attraction in ice and snow tourism. Other attractions such as hot springs, rivers, and barbecue further entice visitors to this famous city on the 47th parallel north.
However, how can Qiqihar, blessed with such valuable natural tourism resources, harness the current wave of the internet economy and leverage new ideas and technologies to inject new energy and opportunities into its tourism development? This is the new challenge it currently faces and the main topic discussed at the meeting. In response, Mr. Ge Lei, Executive General Manager of CYTS Linkage (Beijing) Public Relations Consulting Co., Ltd., shared his unique insights on enhancing user travel experiences, helping Qiqihar explore the “Internet+ Tourism” marketing model, and thus creating new value.
At the meeting, Vice Mayor Qu Xiuli of the Qiqihar Municipal Government specially presented an appointment letter to Mr. Ge Lei, inviting him to serve as the “Qiqihar Tourism Work Advisor.” Meanwhile, numerous guest representatives from well-known domestic OTA giants such as Meituan, Tuniu, and Amap also shared their operational measures, successful cases, and in-depth thoughts on the “Internet+ Tourism” model, all of which inspired and motivated attendees.

Another important agenda item of the meeting — the “Qiqihar Ice & Snow Tourism Photography Competition” — was also officially launched. This photography competition will enable the public to gain more direct exposure to Qiqihar’s icy and snowy beauty of “cranes dancing on the snowfield,” and help establish Qiqihar as a world-renowned ice and snow tourism destination.

It is believed that this sharing session will drive Qiqihar’s vigorous development under the momentum of the “internet economy,” usher in a series of new initiatives and collaborations in “Internet+ Tourism” marketing for Qiqihar, and open a magnificent new chapter for the Crane City’s ice and snow tourism.
