Club Med’s analysis of global sales data shows that demand for its ‘Exclusive Collection’ island holidays is rising among travelers worldwide. Among them, the Maldives ranks as the top choice for premium luxury island holidays among travelers from the Asia-Pacific region, while visitor numbers from Taiwan have grown by as much as 50%. Meanwhile, Mauritius is the most popular exclusive luxury island destination among European and American travelers.

In addition, to capture the family and adventure traveler markets, Club Med promotes ‘Bring Home Inspirational Travel,’ aiming to inspire new insights during exploration and discovery. Travelers can take away something more valuable than memories—new perceptions that extend into daily life, allowing them to continually enjoy the growth and transformation it brings.

As the leading brand in all-inclusive island vacations, Club Med operates over 70 resorts worldwide. In the past three years, the number of global travelers visiting Club Med has increased by 13%, with the concept of age-specific vacation experiences being a major draw for many visitors.

Club Med has observed a significant rise in global demand for the ‘Exclusive Collection,’ with a 21% increase in travelers compared to previous years. As a result, it is actively expanding its exclusive luxury collection locations. Currently, there are 14 such locations globally, accounting for 17% of Club Med’s total passenger volume. These are divided into four operating models: “Premium Resorts,” “Premium Island Villas,” exclusive “Luxury Spaces” available only to VIPs within selected resorts, and “Premium Luxury Cruise Ships.” Moving forward, Club Med plans to add two new locations per year, aiming to expand to 20 locations by 2021.

The Exclusive Collection emphasizes four key elements: “exceptional geographic location,” “premium scenery,” “private space,” and “pioneering new destinations.” It also offers six unique highlights: “Club Med’s exclusive resort ambiance,” combining the vibrant atmosphere of French-style parties with the romance of a private couple's retreat; “independent private spaces” that ensure a serene and secluded holiday environment; “spacious and comfortable rooms” featuring living and lounge areas; “culinary delights” crafted by an international team of chefs; “exclusive concierge services” including assistance with booking activities, restaurants, and private transfers; and “customized experiences” that create one-of-a-kind surprise moments.

The top choice among Asia-Pacific travelers for the Exclusive Collection is the Maldives, accounting for 75% of the guests in this series. It is also the closest exclusive luxury resort to Taiwan geographically. Club Med Finolhu Villa is the Maldives’ first fully solar-powered eco-resort. The roofs of the connecting pier boardwalk and public facilities are covered with energy panels that absorb solar power. The interior spaces were designed by Japanese designer Yuji Yamazaki, blending Eastern Zen elements into the space to create a tranquil atmosphere. At Finolhu Villa, guests can enjoy exclusive experiences such as “personal butler service,” “breathtaking ocean-view spa,” “starry sky cinema,” and “Kanifinolhu island hopping.” From April to September, guests can also rent a GoPro 7 for free within the resort and, following a romantic script designed by renowned Korean screenwriter Park Hae-young, capture unforgettable moments spent at Finolhu Villa.
