Bubble tea is a source of pride for Taiwan, a must-try for many tourists visiting the country, and also a star product that many bubble tea brands use to expand globally.Through the Global Tea Barista event, STiHZO has created the world’s first bubble tea shaking championship, drawing global attention to the concept of Taiwanese tea-based hand-shaken drinks.

This competition featured 12 teams from 11 countries participating as STiHZO baristas. The event included a classic challenge and a timed creativity round, with judging criteria covering appearance, preparation standards, service process, taste, and more.

The judges included food and beverage professionals as well as Japanese YouTuber Suzuki Keigo, who lives in Taiwan. He believes that Taiwan’s bubble tea culture is simply fascinating, and he was truly amazed by the contestants’ creativity and imagination.

The competition themes were also quite interesting, including topics like tropical rainforests, carnivals, symphonies, the four seasons, and purple hues.
