The quirkiest youth carnival of eclectic learning – Asia’s largest learning expo

When diverse topics and people come together, the most unexpected learning happens. “ZA SHARE Youth – the Eclectic Learning Festival” has accumulated over 80 million engagements from 2015 to 2018, with 180,000 visitors and 1,300 innovative learning units or individuals participating. This year, from May 16 to May 19, the “Diverse Learning Expo” is being held at Huashan 1914 Creative Park.

“Eclectic Learning” is a platform that creates and shares diverse learning experiences, embracing multiple voices and supporting various forms of practical expression. ZA SHARE Youth – the Eclectic Learning Festival is dedicated to youths aged 17 to 35, bringing together an expo centered on “self-improvement,” “personal fulfillment,” and “exploration of imagination.” It includes a wide range of innovative content such as advocacy for ideals, self-directed learning, relevant social issues, future career exploration, local regeneration, and cultural discovery.

This year’s themes are noise, coral, and mixed noodles. This new combination aims to expand as many experiences and imaginations as possible to explore the future. Serious playfulness actually represents a higher level of consciousness, moving between freedom and order. When genetic mutation is the foundation of evolution, the only way out for life is to bravely break free from frameworks and embrace cross-disciplinary hybridity. There are no signs forbidding noise here—only vibrant and selfless presences like coral, and the richness and inclusiveness of everyday mixed noodles.

Main Exhibition Hall
Use a young and open heart to embrace more possibilities for learning. Learning is not just about the sparks that happen in “teaching and learning” moments—it also exists throughout the social environment and daily life, becoming the energy to think about problems, explore solutions, and put them into practice. It connects every budding imagination in society, and through continuous encounters, exchanges, and exploration, it creates tangible influence.

Special Exhibition: “Silence, Fossils, and Orthodox Dishes”
In contrast to the theme that encourages everyone to speak freely—“Noise, Coral, and Mixed Noodles”—the theme pavilion takes a reverse approach: it hopes to revisit and experience the education processes we go through at different stages of life. These include the “silence”-like order and discipline we were asked to internalize, the “fossil”-like test materials that were crammed into us inorganically, and the “orthodox dishes”-like career plans we were guided to follow.

Eclectic Learning Workshops
Centered around “interactive experiences,” these workshops let you directly engage with topics that interest you. They cover a wide range of fields including environmentalism, board games, culture, vocational skills, gardening, and crafts. They allow you to explore your interests with your own hands, experiencing the warmth and power of feedback from the things you interact with.

Eclectic Learning Lectures
Featuring a variety of cultural topics, social stories, and learning perspectives that resonate with young people, this is where everyone can have their voice heard. Through speeches and discussions, participants share their life experiences and ways of practicing their beliefs. The content ranges from deep to light, but all are honest and grounded, making learning feel relevant and visionary.

Noise Salon
Noise is the sound made by the gathering and interaction of individuals, exploring and approaching each other in a lively and noisy way. On the path of advocacy, without gathering crowds and exchanging ideas, how can sparks be created? Here, you can speak your mind, perform, or simply have a chat—whatever you want to do can happen here.
