The Deer Shrine is an unranked shrine originally built in Longtian Village, dedicated to the Three Gods of Pioneering (Ōkunitama-no-Kami, Sukunahikona-no-Kami, and Ōkuninushi-no-Kami) as well as Prince Kitashirakawa Yoshihisa. It was jointly constructed by Japanese immigrants in the village of Rikka through voluntary labor, making it the first shrine in Taiwan completed through a collaborative model between Taiwanese and Japanese craftsmen during the Japanese colonial period in 1923. The architecture is also quite simple, featuring only the main hall, torii gate, and temizuya as the primary structures.
