Family-Friendly Staycation +1 – Sleep with the Powerpuff Girls’ Bubbles

HOTEL COZZI and 和逸饭店—Tainan Ximen Branch, under Cathay Hotels & Resorts and known for its family-oriented theme, has partnered with Cartoon Network US for the first time, making it one of the most talked-about cross-industry collaborations in 2019. The partnership combines three hugely popular animated shows: Adventure Time, The Powerpuff Girls, and We Bare Bears, to create Taiwan’s only hotel experience co-branded with Cartoon Network.

The themed co-branded hotel rooms became available for online booking at the end of March and have been well-received by travelers of all ages. Chang Wan-hua, General Manager of Cathay Hotels & Resorts, said: “和逸饭店・Tainan Ximen Branch is the leading family-themed hotel in southern Taiwan, and this marks the first time a hotel in Taiwan has collaborated with Cartoon Network US. In the next three years, it will also become Cartoon Network’s exclusive hotel partner in Taiwan.”

Currently, themed facilities across five floors are fully in place, and more theme-related activities will be introduced in the future to offer a diverse, immersive experience. The goal is to attract both domestic and international travelers who love traveling, enjoy Cartoon Network, and still have a childlike sense of wonder.

和逸饭店・Tainan Ximen Branch, seeing the strong competitiveness of southern Taiwan’s tourism market and the promising outlook for the hospitality industry, aims to capture both domestic and international travel opportunities. With an investment of NT$30 million and four months of construction, the hotel has dedicated approximately 1,400 ping of public space and 54 cartoon character-themed rooms. The concept was inspired by popular cartoon characters visiting Tainan’s historic city. By integrating spatial design, immersive atmosphere, and local Tainan elements, the hotel presents the full world and universe of Cartoon Network to guests.

Starting with a 3.5-meter-tall Adventure Time outdoor installation at the entrance on the first floor, cartoon characters can be spotted throughout the lobby counter, hotel corridors, and even in the parking lots on floors B5 to B7. Floors 4 and 5 house a themed restaurant, indoor recreation area, and multifunctional space, all authentically recreating scenes from the cartoons.
