Shanghai, January 4, 2017 /PRNewswire/

Today, Adidas Group, together with two of China’s most popular next-generation sports stars—freestyle swimming champion Ning Zetao and women’s volleyball team captain Hui Ruoqi—officially launched its "I Am One in a Hundred Million" marketing campaign in China. Guided by the New Horizons 2020 strategy for Greater China, the campaign aims to encourage the public to actively engage in sports and inspire the full realization of athletic creativity.

Strong Expansion of Brand Ambassadors: Ning Zetao and Hui Ruoqi Join the Team

Adidas Group Greater China Managing Director Colin Currie said, "Adidas has always been committed to inspiring people to participate in sports. We are honored to have elite athletes like Ning Zetao and Hui Ruoqi join us. Creativity is at the core of Adidas’ business—we do everything with creativity in mind. Through extensive and close collaboration with our brand ambassadors, we will continue to promote mass participation in sports in China, encouraging consumers to unleash their creativity and express their individuality through sports."

Since 2015, Adidas has promoted the concept of sport creativity globally under the slogan "Sport Needs Creators." In early 2016, Adidas launched the "Created by Women" marketing campaign, one of the brand’s largest initiatives targeting female consumers. The campaign encouraged more women to participate in sports and showcase their individuality. It featured collaborations with numerous influential women, including world-class tennis star Xu Shilin and the Chinese National Women’s Volleyball Team. The campaign also highlighted real stories from athletes to inspire women to awaken their own sport creativity and reach infinite possibilities.

"Sport Creativity" calls on everyone to tap into their potential and creativity in sports, fully enjoying the performance it brings. The idea behind the "I Am One in a Hundred Million" campaign is simple: by awakening your own sport creativity, you can not only become the "one in a hundred million" on the field to win the game, but also elevate your life to new heights and live it to the fullest.

Ning Zetao and Hui Ruoqi are the next generation of China’s most talented and popular sports stars. Ning Zetao achieved a miracle by winning the gold medal in the men’s 100m freestyle at the 2015 Kazan World Championships. As the captain of the women’s volleyball team, Hui Ruoqi has received widespread attention for her exceptional athletic performance, overcoming numerous challenges to lead the national team to victory at the 2016 Rio Olympics. Beyond excelling in competition, they have demonstrated extraordinary creativity, achieving medals and elevating their lives to new levels—exactly what Adidas has always strived for. Their stories will inspire and motivate more consumers to embrace sports and lead healthy, vibrant lives through creativity.

Adidas has always been committed to strengthening communication and interaction with consumers through its brand ambassadors. Last June, Adidas Global Brand Ambassador David Beckham attended the unveiling ceremony of the brand’s first global football flagship store in Guangzhou. In the same year, Adidas also invited top European football clubs Ajax and Manchester United to participate in training sessions at its campus football events in collaboration with China’s Ministry of Education.
