Ultraman Flash Pop-up Store Lands in Taiwan！Three Exhibition Zones to Explore the Universe’s Hero

Ultraman’s epic mission to protect Earth kicks off in style this summer！The “Dazzling Sky • Call！Battle Power！I Am a Hero” Ultraman pop-up store makes its Taipei debut, arriving with a bang at Taipei Shin Kong Mitsukoshi A11 6F Xinyi Theater on July 12.

The Ultraman series (ウルトラマンシリ┼ズ) was created by Tsuburaya Productions, founded by Japan’s “God of Special Effects,” director Eiji Tsuburaya.

In 1966, the first TV broadcast of Ultra Q marked the beginning of the Ultraman series’ history, initially aired in black and white. That same year also saw the premiere of Ultra Q’s successor, Ultraman, which established an unprecedented new format on television — the battle between giant heroes and monsters.

From the Showa era, through Heisei, and into the current Reiwa era, numerous TV dramas and movies have been released. Having endured for half a century, Ultraman is not only a classic hero from fathers’ childhood memories but also a popular figure that today’s children eagerly follow, sparking a renewed wave of enthusiasm among families.

After a long absence, Ultraman returns to Taiwan with the limited-time “Dazzling Sky • Call！Battle Power！I Am a Hero！” pop-up store, located in the spacious Shin Kong Mitsukoshi A11 Xinyi Theater. The one-month exhibition shop is also expected to tour across Taiwan.
