Gathering an international panel of judges to select Ocean Photography Ambassadors

The Annual Ocean Photography Contest features three main categories (20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, Guardians of the Ocean, and Ocean Fantasia), covering various content including underwater scenes, people, and creative works.

To ensure the contest’s international perspective and judging standards, the judging panel includes renowned photographer Wang Shendun, who has served as a judge for the World Press Photo twice; Mark Leong, a famous Chinese-American photographer for National Geographic; Ai Shaoqiang, editor-in-chief of National Geographic China; Cai Zhiyong, a special photographer for National Geographic China; along with Wang Aolin, a freediver hailed as "China's No. 1," forming an all-star lineup. Together, they will select the final annual awards and also choose Ocean Photography Ambassadors to sign with National Geographic China.
