The Old Iron Bridge Wetland Education Park is located in Daxu District, stretching from the cable-stayed bridge to the right bank of the Gaoping River near the Gaoping Bridge, covering an area of three hundred hectares. It features water-friendly walkways, riverside bicycle paths, natural ecological zones, park green spaces, and coffee plazas. This expansive wetland education park, with its breathtaking natural scenery, combines the area’s unique religious, cultural, historical, natural ecological, hydraulic culture, and scenic elements, making it a uniquely distinctive leisure, tourism, and educational destination in Taiwan.

Foguangshan Buddha Memorial Center.
The Foguangshan Buddha Memorial Center welcomes tens of millions of visitors each year and is a must-visit attraction for travelers. The center’s most iconic feature is the world’s largest and tallest seated Buddha — the Foguang Giant Buddha. In addition to the main shrine halls, there are permanent exhibition halls, art galleries, and the Grand Enlightenment Hall, which can accommodate 2,000 people and regularly hosts artistic performances and international forums.

Sanhe Brick Kiln.
Located next to the Old Iron Bridge Park, the Sanhe Brick Kiln was formerly known as the "Shun’an Brick Factory." Having endured four generations and two name changes over the years, it still stands strong. During its heyday, Daxu District was home to over twenty brick kilns, but now only Sanhe remains. However, by integrating local history and culture and riding the wave of creative industries, it has developed various DIY experiences and kiln products that are very popular with travelers.

Zhuliao Water Intake Station.
The Zhuliao Water Intake Station is located on the banks of the Gaoping River in Daxu District. In use since the Japanese colonial period, it has a history of nearly one hundred years and is an important historical heritage site of Taiwan’s water supply infrastructure. It is still in operation today. The main building is a Western-style structure from the Japanese era, featuring red-brick walls, curved facades, and striking green window frames, giving it a unique charm. In addition to providing abundant irrigation water for agriculture in Daxu District, the station also served as the heart of Kaohsiung’s earliest municipal water supply system. It is a revolutionary and universally significant construction project in the urban development history of Kaohsiung.
