The National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts is hosting the "Writing with Light—2020 Taiwan International Light Art Festival" for the first time this year. The outdoor light installations officially opened on January 18, featuring seven major light art pieces created by numerous international artists, creating new hotspots for photos.

This light art festival centers around themes of technology art, light art, and cross-disciplinary creation, using "light" as the medium to redefine the space of the National Museum of Fine Arts, delivering a visual impact where art and technology intertwine.

The light art festival not only features artists from Italy, Japan, France, and other countries, but also showcases Taiwanese artistic creations. Using "light" as the creative medium, the artworks respond to the nature and possibilities of the venue. The exhibition primarily takes place in outdoor spaces, with seven displayed works redefining the spatial identity of the venue.
Artists from Italy, Japan, Taiwan, and other regions are participating in the festival.
In addition to the outdoor exhibits, the work "Échos" (Echoes) by the audiovisual duo Sondes A/V Duo will be displayed in the indoor immersive exhibition hall on January 26, offering a different perspective on the development of Taiwanese art through digital interpretation.

In addition to the outdoor exhibits, the indoor exhibition will also be displayed on January 26 in the immersive exhibition hall.
This Taiwan International Light Art Festival is held concurrently with the 2020 Taiwan Lantern Festival. Both use light as a medium to convey diverse cultural expressions, making them two must-visit light art events during the festive season.
