The 2019 Pacific Flower Color Festival, themed around the Garden City, was held from October 11 to November 30 in Hualien. It used the beauty of light and shadow integrated with natural landscapes to present various nighttime light installations, creating a romantic and dreamy atmosphere.

This year, the Pacific Flower Color Festival has created nine major exhibition zones, including “Floral Needle Art Show,” “Flower Young Paradise,” “Interactive Flower Path,” “Flower of Life,” “Flower Diamond Light & Shadow,” “Fluttering Flower Valley,” “Flower Pool Reflection,” “Flower Fountain,” and “I Love Hualien.” These zones use technology, sound and light, and laser effects to showcase the beauty of an urban garden.
The city is transformed into a garden city theme, integrating technology, sound and light, and other techniques to create multiple beautiful sceneries.
Art installation – Fluttering Flower Valley.
One of the most eye-catching attractions is the 2,500 LED luminescent flower displays in the “I Love Hualien” zone, combining land art to give the illusion of stepping onto a golden flower carpet. It becomes even more enchanting at night and is a popular spot for photos.
The event also features a luminescent children's playground where kids can play to their heart's content.
In the “Flower Young Paradise” zone, there is a luminescent children's playground where kids can run freely on the vast, open grasslands, with a variety of glowing facilities such as colorful duck-shaped glow balls and luminescent hula hoops to enjoy the night.
