The Good Hope Scenic Area features a vast observation deck and towering white wind turbines, making it ideal for leisurely walks, seaside views, and sunset watching. A path beneath the deck leads to the coastal road, and train enthusiasts can also come here to photograph trains.

Formed by the Lukeng River, Luchang River, and Fengmei River, Shenxian Valley has been carved over the years into unique canyon landscapes. It also features spectacular suspension bridges and beautiful waterfalls. It was even a filming location for the movie *Seediq Bale*, making it a great spot for hikers to enjoy nature and breathe in the forest’s phytoncides.

Voted by netizens as one of the top ten secret spots for deciduous cypress forests, Yunshui Resort Forest turns crimson in winter when its vast cypress woods change color, resembling a miniature version of the famous Xiaoyunshan. Covering nearly 5 hectares, the site was formerly the Dongjiang Hot Spring Leisure Garden. After renovation, it has been transformed into a resort suitable for family outings.

For hiking enthusiasts or travelers seeking spectacular scenery, challenge yourself with Huoyan Mountain. At around 600 meters above sea level, it is one of Taiwan’s Minor Hundred Peaks. The mountain offers excellent views overlooking the Taichung Plain. Most of the trails are easy to walk, though a few sections require rope-assisted climbing. Due to the terrain, watch your step for unstable rocks and soil. But the stunning views from Huoyan Mountain are absolutely worth the effort.
