The exterior of the Daxi Old Tea Factory was modeled after the Darjeeling Tea Factory in India, while its interior space blends Taiwanese and Japanese styles, showcasing great multicultural diversity. Blue is the dominant color of the building—whether on windows, beams, layered shelves, walls, or artworks—the understated blue tone complements this brick-and-cypress-wood-frame tea factory remarkably well. The well-preserved old equipment is displayed for visitors to see.

Dream Lake is located at the source of the Xinshan Stream, a tributary of the Beigang River at the northern foot of Xinsan Mountain, at an altitude of 325 meters. Originally a farmer’s irrigation reservoir, it is triangular with each side about 50 meters long. The lake water is clear and beautiful, reflecting the dense tree shade. As it is often shrouded in mist in winter, giving it a dreamlike quality, it was named “Dream Lake” and is considered the most beautiful lake in Xizhi. There are two pavilions by Dream Lake where travelers can quietly enjoy its serene and refreshing atmosphere.

Dongyanshan Forest Recreation Area is part of the tail end of the Snow Mountain Range. From a distance, the mountain resembles a lying maiden gazing eastward with wide eyes—hence its name. Covering nearly 1,000 hectares, the entire recreation area boasts a spectacular stretch of over 300 hectares of cedar sea. From the summit, you can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding mountain ranges and gaze at landscapes such as Taoyuan, Sanxia, and the Tamsui River. It is also a great spot to view Taoyuan’s night scenery.

Located at the highest point on Provincial Highway 102 in New Taipei City, where Shuangxi and Jiufen meet, “Bu Yan Ting” (Unweary Pavilion) not only offers a distant view of Ruifang but also frames the blue seascape in the far distance, earning it a reputation as one of Taiwan’s most beautiful highway sceneries. Bu Yan Ting features breathtaking views from its elevated position—one side overlooks the entire landscape of Shuangxi District, while the other gazes toward Ruifang. On clear days, the blue ocean can be seen in the distance, and during certain times, a dreamy sea of clouds is visible.
 
Transportation: Drive from Taipei via Provincial Highway 102 through Jiufen toward Shuangxi. The pavilion on your right at the highest point is Bu Yan Ting.
