Previously moved back to shore due to Typhoon Mitag, Ji Mi’s Moon was relit in Bitan on the evening of October 8.

With the recent receding water levels in the Xindian River and thanks to the efforts of the Ji Mi team, the heartwarming moon and mischievous little boy also took a bath during their time on shore and have now returned to Bitan, Xindian. The exhibition has been extended until November 21.

The 15-meter floating moon offers different views day and night. During the day, you can see the playful scene of the little boy snuggling up to the moon, creating a new photogenic highlight in New Taipei City and showcasing a unique side of Bitan.

At night, you can admire the glow of two moons shining together, casting a comforting light. Everyone is welcome to visit Bitan with family and friends during the Double Ten holiday, enjoying the lovely night breeze and moonlight. The area also features the gently rolling Hebei Mountain and an extensive riverside bike path — perfect for couples and families.

Other attractions worth visiting include the historic suspension bridge, the legacy of the Gong Canal, the illuminated suspension bridge loved by photography enthusiasts, and Taiwan’s only manually operated ferry. If you have extra time, head to nearby Wulai for hot springs, the Wulai Waterfall, and a taste of the Wulai tribal culture. It's ideal for planning a fulfilling one-day trip to Xindian and Wulai.
