The Taipei Michelin Guide has released two editions in 2018 and 2019, with the schedule and plans for the following year typically announced around November each year. The two-year anniversary event for the 2020 Taipei Michelin Guide was held on November 14.

What major announcements and good news will be made at the launch event also has foodies excited. Many are also asking whether a second city in Taiwan outside of Taipei will have a Michelin Guide published, or if there will be any new evaluation mechanisms—all of which are highly anticipated by those following Taiwan’s food scene.
