Experience the joy of ice and snow and kiss mountain hot springs as the Bipenggou Ice and Snow Hot Spring Festival kicks off joyfully

"Experience the fun of ice and snow and enjoy hot spring baths." One of the series of events under the "2018 Li County Miyaluo Red Leaf Hot Spring Festival" — the 4th Bipenggou Ice and Snow Hot Spring Festival and the 1st Douyin Influencer Challenge in Li County — grandly opened on December 15 at Namu Lake in the Bipenggou Scenic Area.

The opening ceremony treated visitors to a variety of interactive programs, colorful artistic performances, a fantastical ice and snow fairy tale-themed exhibition, and diverse ice and snow recreational activities. By adopting various methods to create an ice and snow hot spring festival for all to participate in and enjoy, it offers visitors a new way to experience winter tourism.

This Ice and Snow Hot Spring Festival is hosted by the Aba Prefecture Tourism Development Commission, Aba Prefecture Sports Bureau, Aba Prefecture Forestry Bureau, the CPC Li County Committee, and the People’s Government of Li County, and organized by Bipenggou Tourism Development Co., Ltd. By integrating unique ice and snow and hot spring resources and combining natural landscapes, ice and snow recreation, wellness hot springs, and Tibetan-Qiang culture, it has launched distinctive winter tourism route products. It continuously enhances the overall influence of winter tourism and strives to make "playing in the snow, soaking in hot springs, and experiencing Tibetan-Qiang culture" a renowned winter tourism brand for Li County.

On the opening day, popular Douyin influencers were also invited to the site to shoot videos with visitors and take part in the Bipenggou Douyin Video Challenge. Ethnic song and dance performances with distinctive cultural features, such as "Ink and Color Splendor · Gathering Sun and Moon" and "Waiting for You in Bipenggou," won rounds of applause from visitors. Meanwhile, the Bipenggou Scenic Area also recognized and awarded outstanding partner travel agencies for their annual cooperation, jointly contributing to the successful launch of this Ice and Snow Hot Spring Festival opening ceremony.

Starting from December 15, 2018, the winter tourism carnival of the Bipenggou Ice and Snow Hot Spring Festival officially begins. During this period, visitors to Bipenggou can not only see snow-capped mountains, glaciers, ice waterfalls, ice-covered trees, ice lakes, rime, snowfields, snow scenery, and enjoy sunshine and fresh air, but also engage in a variety of ice and snow recreational activities such as snowboarding, snow boating, snowmobiles, snow tanks, and dune buggies. They can not only experience the joy brought by a fairytale world of ice and snow, but also enjoy the comfort of snowy hot springs. At the same time, by participating in the Douyin influencer challenge, they can also win cash prizes.

The Bipenggou Scenic Area is located in Putou Township, Li County.
