Boasting the fastest sailing speed in Asia, the “Explorer Dream” will offer cruises to Japan ranging from 3 to 6 nights during this Shanghai homeport season, covering multiple popular shore excursion destinations. Departing from Shanghai, passengers can reach Japanese mainland destinations such as Kyoto, Osaka, and Kobe in just four days, or enjoy a round trip to Okinawa in three. With spring in full bloom in April, travelers can immerse themselves in an authentic cherry blossom culture, indulge in Japanese delicacies such as black pork, tuna, and wagyu beef aboard the ship, watch tuna cutting shows, participate in special activities like traditional yukata experiences and Japanese garden festival poolside parties, and embark on a multi-sensory Japanese-style sea journey.

The “Explorer Dream,” built with top German craftsmanship, features 928 cabins and a passenger capacity of up to 1,856. It introduces “The Palace,” a VIP-exclusive area conceptually pioneered by Dream Cruises with a unique “ship-within-a-ship” design. With industry-leading passenger-to-space and staff-to-passenger ratios, the majority of its luxurious Palace Suites exceeding 40 square meters, and round-the-clock European-style butler service, “The Palace” offers unparalleled luxury and comfort for premium travelers from China and across Asia.

To further enrich the onboard experience, Dream Cruises has curated a series of themed activities, including the Connoisseurs Circle — a special guest lecture and interactive workshop series exclusively for “The Palace” guests. These sessions feature distinguished speakers from various fields who share their inspiring journeys with passengers through insightful talks and enthusiasm. Highlights include a fashion workshop hosted by the ship’s godmother, Grace Chen.

After its April maiden voyage in Shanghai, the “Explorer Dream” will relocate to Tianjin as its homeport on July 1, offering an excellent travel option for Chinese families during the summer holiday. It will also collaborate with the “Happy Twist team” to present a fun-filled children’s play, ensuring laughter and joy for guests of all ages. In October, the “Explorer Dream” will move to Sydney and Auckland to operate homeport cruises, featuring multiple weekly 7-night itineraries. These voyages will provide travelers seeking in-depth international experiences with convenient access to classic and off-the-beaten-path destinations across Australia and New Zealand that are often hard to fully explore on land.
